  After all those years at the meetings, are they learning anything new?

  it doesn't take long to know every jw belief.

  maybe after a few months, you know all that there is to know.. then, every meeting for the rest of your life will be only repitition.

  if you had your chance who would you want to meet face to face, talk to them, spend some time picking their brain, have a dinner with, get to know better?.

  i have many but want to hold off for now!!!.

  What a wonferful forum you put together! I enjoy reading all the accounts from all the members.It's nice to know that some people feel the same about the WTS.

  She is well informed.Tells it like it is.Kicks the WTS where it hurts.Shows woman have as much knowledge than these old men in the WTS.Hope she continues being relentless towards these old men who's power and lies went to their heads.

  Does Knowing the Truth Make you a Happier person?

  many of us who were once jehovah's witnesses had a measure of happiness in our lives.

  for me, i had a hope in the future, i had answers as to why we are all here, i believed in a loving god who looked after me and cared about me, i had answers to all of lifes big questions.. when i found out the truth about the witnesses, i was lost in a great big world and now had no answers other than the fact that what i once believed was "the truth" in actuality wasn't the truth.i now had to start all over in my search for truth.

  for me, it wasn't long before i found what i thought was the truth since i always believed in the bible.

  It's hard sitting on the fence.Being a Witness,you have to be all in.That way, whatever is said and demanded of you,won't cause any conflict.There are so many in my family who are so happy with being a witness.

  When you find out the ''truth'' is a big lie,then you sense a sigh of relief.No more meetings,service,mandatory reading of Watchtower lies,and rules and regulations.

  If you sit on the fence because of family like yourself and I,it's very hard.You can't mix the two.You need to be true to yourself and that's where the pain comes in. I wish I never heard of this stupid religion!

  the public talk was how satan uses his demons to stumble us.satan knows where we live,work and what we do at work and home.his demons use television,music,the internet,movies,sex and apostates to stumble faithful jehovah's witnesses.. the "spiritually weak" are what the demons look for because they can be attacked so easily.these are the ones who don't have studies with their families,watch too much television,go on the internet looking at apostate sites, brothers and sisters who are obsessed with sex,taking too many vacations,the love of money and all the pleasures of this world.that is why the wts loose so many members each year.. what they never tell you the real reason why most members leave are:,.

  lack of love,elders as judges arrangment,inconstistency in teachings,1914 generation change,theological dishonesty,scholastic ineptitude,favoritism within the boe,hypocrisy, and false prophesies.. .

  I agree with you.I think good and evil are all inside every person.They use Satan and his Demons as a means to scare everyone into obeying because the WTS can't control every member after they leave the Kingdom Hall.

  My questions are if Satan is real: Where does he reside? Can he read my mind? Can he put thoughts into my mind? Does he control my mind? When does he know when to approach me or leave me alone? How does he get me to like television,music,internet and sexual immorality? Isn't that something I choose myself because that's who I am?

  CO's talk includes drumbeat of obeying Jehovah's channel the faithful slave

  with mary's review of the april 1 wt study article and this weeks public talk by the circuit overseer on obeying the channel of communication that jehovah has provided through means of the faithful and discreet slave, things are really hotting up.. the co practically shouted that we had to obey jesus' representatives to gain salvation.

  this repetitive mantra of obey the channel, obey god's representatives, obey the faithful and discreet slave is really scary.. they have already replaced jesus as their old testament priesthood takes over, they have sidelined all non-anointed as "companions" of jesus, what more do they want?.

  this is getting increasingly like what daniel and his three companions had to face - worship the golden image or die.. is it me or has the drumbeat of obeying the faithful slave taken on a decidedly louder beat?.

  Mary: Thank you as usual for kicking these old men in their balls! The FDS replaced Jesus long time ago.It's all about obeying them.It's all about the organization.It's all about their manmade rules.

  It's working it's way up to a deafening screech. Like coming out of a heavy metal vomit concert: You can't hear anything else, which is just how they want it. The Governing Body are panicking that that the R&F aren't showing them the proper worship respect and are perhaps starting to question their authority, their countless false prophecies, their screw up of the blood doctrine, the pedophile problem, and the fact that Armageddon is nowhere in sight. You've got 3 generations all living now that are reaping the repercussions of listening to these arrogant assholes: 1) Those born around 1914 or shortly afterwards. Most have already died, but there are those still around who must be prepared to die, even though they were told they never would;

  Those in their 80's have waited and will never see Armageddon.We have an Elder who has served since 1967 and his days are coming to an end.

  2) Those born around WWII who were told not to pay into any pension plans or save any money for retirement, and who must now work 2 or 3 jobs to survive and

  How many became janitors,window washers and sold their businesses because the end was coming.

  3) Baby boomers, who were told not to get an education or make anything of yourself, because The End would be here in 1975. The 4th generation are those young enough where they can still save, buy a house, get an eduation, if they're smart enough to see through the lies.

  The 4th generation are smarter than their family members.They turn 18 and leave the organization.They see right thru the bull crap.I don't see them retaining the youth any longer.The lies of the FDS finally caught up to them.

  I had Mormon's at my door once.They had their Bible and tried to read me some passages.I told them that one time I loaned their Bible from the library and skimmed thru it.I told them that Brother Smith made it all up because it was a bunch of garbage.

  Last year,3 men were at my door all wearing white shirts with no bookbags, just a flyer in their hands.As soon as I opened the door,I told them that I wasn't interested.All they wanted was to invite me and my family to their church since I was new to the neighborhood.I guess they look in the local paper to see who has just moved in.

  Why do the local congregations always pay for the D.O. and C.O. visits?

  every time a circuit and district overseer visited our congregation,the elders always wanted a show of hands from the congregation to see if we would pay for their car expenses and travel.sometimes the congregation would pay for airline tickets.it was always approved.. do you know if the idea came from the local congregations to pay?

  did the wts send out letters to each congregation to see if they would pay?

  we know that the wts always get what they want.. it's amazing how we paid $250-$400 for each overseer visit and the wts paid nothing..

  Every congregation is different.My congregation always paid the airfare for the D.O. and his wife.They would fly in on Friday night and leave Sunday evening right after the 2 day assembly ended.

  Since we are a small congregation,our bank account sometimes had less than $100.I don't know how they came up with the money but we always paid for the C.O. and D.O. expenses.

  Are parents allowed in their teenagers judicial meeting?

  i was told by some busybodies that she had a ''wordly'' boyfriend and that she committed fornication.now she sits home alone while her parents attend 3 meetings per week.. my questions are:did the elders meet with the parents first to let them know what the offense was?

  were her parents told what the judicial meeting would be about and how it works?

  A 16 year old girl was recently disfellowshipped from my congregation. I was told by some busybodies that she had a ''wordly'' boyfriend and that she committed fornication.Now she sits home alone while her parents attend 3 meetings per week.

  My questions are:Did the Elders meet with the parents first to let them know what the offense was? Were her parents told what the judicial meeting would be about and how it works? Would the Elders let the parents attend the judicial meeting? If not,how can they let a teenager defend herself in front of grown men? Since she was under 18 years old,wouldn't the parents represent her as her guardian?
